Under the patronage of the President of the University of Al-Qadisiyah,

Prof. Dr. Nidham Jabbar Talib,
the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Law – University of Al-Qadisiyah organized a training course entitled:
“The Role of Administration in Reducing Allegations of Financial and Administrative Corruption.”

The course aimed to highlight the role of administrative systems in minimizing allegations of financial and administrative corruption. It focused on several key strategies, most notably the adoption of transparency and integrity as guiding principles, the selection of qualified and competent personnel for administrative roles, the governance of administrative procedures, the integration of digital and automated systems in workplace operations, and the continuous training of staff to raise awareness of both their positive and negative responsibilities within the public service.
The course concluded that the most effective approach for administrations to mitigate corruption allegations involves continuous monitoring of employee performance, merit-based recruitment and promotions based on professional competency and impartiality, fostering a culture of transparency and integrity, and promoting the principle of responsible citizenship within the workplace.
The course recommended:
• Expanding public employees’ awareness of the laws and regulations governing public service,
• Adopting competency as a fundamental standard in administrative appointments,
• Embracing administrative procedure governance practices,
• Utilizing digital tools and platforms to curb the spread of financial and administrative corruption.
The sessions included a range of discussions and inquiries from participants, which were addressed by the panel of speakers.
At the conclusion of the course, participants were awarded certificates of participation and official administrative orders confirming successful completion, issued by the Dean of the College of Law, the Honorable Investigative Judge for Integrity Cases, and the Honorable Deputy Public Prosecutor.
