Assistant Professor Dr. Safaa Meteb Al-Khuzaie from the College of Law at the University of Al-Qadisiyah has published a new book titled “The Crisis of Legal Thinking in Arab Countries: A Critical View of the Arab Legal Reality.” This publication is part of a series by the Legal Research Center under the Ministry of Justice in the Kurdistan Region, Erbil.
The book explores a complex and often neglected area: the legal issues that challenge the mindset of legal thinkers and specialists, including jurists, researchers, judges, and anyone engaged in interpreting legal texts.
The author attributes the diagnosis of these problems to methodological, ideological, and philosophical factors, which pose significant obstacles to the application of the law. In some cases, these factors even lead to the non-recognition of legal rules.
Additionally, the book investigates the relationship between Islamic jurisprudential heritage, Aristotelian logic, and the understanding of legal texts, examining their impact and effectiveness.
